Who we are

The Team

Loves Gate is carried by co-founders Eveline Nachtegaele and Kevin Cadenhead, with family members, singers, ministry partners, writers, musicians, producers, and artists helping the work move forward.

Eveline Nachtegaele

Eveline Nachtegaele

Co-Founder / Singer-Songwriter / Chaplain

Eveline Nachtegaele was born the tenth of twelve children in Saskatchewan, Canada. She wrote her first song at fourteen and, after marrying Robert at seventeen, lived farm life and raised four children while carrying a dream to become a singer-songwriter.

She recorded in Nashville, sang on the Grand Ole Opry Gospel Hour, released English songs on Canadian country radio, and was commissioned by Radio Canada to record original French songs for airplay across the country.

After a serious throat/thyroid cancer scare, Eveline surrendered totally to Jesus and focused her music on faith, family, and the Lord. She traveled and performed for the unborn child and the pro-life cause, later writing and recording songs including Let Me Live and Mommy.

At St. Joseph in Brazoria he served in Confirmation, youth ministry, music ministry, finance committee, and capital/building campaigns. Eveline invited him to sing with a new choir and later taught him guitar.

Kevin joined Eveline at a Texas prison unit, where the visit became a new call to ministry. Through Loves Gate he has served in Texas prisons, local jails, churches, and youth groups, bringing praise-and-worship music and encouragement where God's presence is needed.
