Charity Efforts

Eveline's early music carried her from Saskatchewan to Nashville, Canadian radio, gospel performance, and pro-life witness.

God In Heaven was written with Lois Cooke, recorded with a symphony orchestra, and used in a video for the Bosnian Relief effort.

Loves Gate has provided weekly prayer services to inmates, with a goal of ministering to their hearts and helping them help themselves.

Loves Gate provided music for Mass and Communion Services at the jail and at numerous Texas Department of Criminal Justice prisons, including the Ramsey Unit concert series in Rosharon.

Kevin later joined Eveline in prison ministry, where they worked with inmate musicians to give concerts on a regular basis to fellow inmates.

Eveline and Kevin established Loves Gate as a nonprofit foundation in early 2008 for their shared ministry and charitable work.

Their stewardship includes Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration, Sunday Mass music, Healing Mass, funerals, weddings, finance committee, parish council, CCE, and vacation bible school.

They also describe music and teaching at youth conferences and retreats, youth programs, Youth Mass services, schools, pro-life functions, AA and Alanon gatherings, Alzheimer support meetings, and other community events.

From Now On, released in January 2009, was mostly original music reflecting life's experiences born of joy, suffering, love, and grace.

In June 2009, Eveline and Kevin brought the Loves Gate message and music to Northern Saskatchewan, followed by a Vancouver Island concert series in May 2010.

In 2010, Holy Trinity was recorded for a parish anniversary and translated into Spanish by Father Maurice Restivo.

Jason Rooks/RR Digital Studio, Gary Leach/Rosewood Studios, and several musicians and vocal contributors helped carry the recording work.

Beyond This Road was released as the second Loves Gate CD project in 2015, with the prayer that listeners would experience the presence of the Lord through the music.

Concert work continued in Saskatchewan in 2016, carrying the music while supporting mission work.

Loves Gate helped the poor connect with dental care, medical attention, housing, food, clothing, detox and rehab programs, and transportation after incarceration.

Concerts also supported missionary and charitable work, including a concert to raise funds for the Sisters of Providence / Les Filles de La Providence missionary work in Uganda, Africa.

The future plan is simple: continue serving, follow God's call, go where there is need, and go where no one else wants to go.

Robert and Eveline Nachtegaele have contributed tens of thousands of dollars toward church construction and improvements in Panama.

Their support helped fund concrete work and a durable covered space used for worship, school activities, and community gatherings.

Robert and Eveline also give practical support to children on the school premises and to the families connected with the parish community.

Their giving helps provide a welcoming place for worship, learning, and shared life while meeting needs among the children and families who gather there.

In 2025, Robert and Eveline funded a Christmas celebration for children at a Catholic care community in Vietnam.

Their support provided presents and a festive shared meal, helping make sure every child was remembered and able to enjoy a wonderful Christmas.

The ministry continues to follow the call to serve people in need through faith, music, and practical help.
